Our Mission is to open up the multi-billion pound market for tidal energy in the UK which can deliver energy security for our future.

We have already achieved a number of significant milestones including successful testing of a Very Low Head Turbine (VLHT) prototype providing a clear pathway to the design, costing and deployment of a demonstrator turbine.

This will underpin the next stage of development - the delivery of fully operational tidal range schemes, including lagoons and barrages.

The VLHT has been specifically engineered to address the long-standing challenges faced by UK tidal range projects. By enabling efficient, bi-directional generation at low head levels, it significantly improves performance while reducing the cost of predictable, zero-carbon electricity.

This unlocks a new generation of commercially viable tidal range schemes - positioning tidal energy as a scalable and investable part of the UK’s future energy mix.
