Brian Morgan SETB Chairman

Brian Morgan

​

Brian is an experienced economist and currently Professor at Cardiff Metropolitan University. He was previously Chief Economist at the WDA and has worked extensively in Whitehall, the EU and OECD.


His research focuses on the economic impact of infrastructure investment (particularly in renewable energy) and its contribution to regional development.

Don Snow

​

Don is a partner in the Cardiff based Mandix Consultancy. He has considerable professional experience in the field of Energy Policy and Sustainable Urban and Regional Development.

 

He helped develop the Cardiff Bay Energy Strategy, the Welsh Energy Project for the EC and NRW’s £1.2 bn wind farm programme in Wales. He was a founder Board member of Constructing Excellence Wales and its Sustainable Construction champion.

Stephen Prendergast

 

Stephen is a global turnaround and infrastructure engineer who has delivered value on some of the largest projects in the world whilst managing multi-billion pound budgets.

 

He has worked with Voith Hydro Far East, Amec and Costain in sectors including oil and gas, power and water. He has specific experience in ‘Run of River’ power stations in the US and China and building the largest caissons in the world in Mexico.

Nigel Goldsworthy

 

Nigel Goldsworthy is an experienced lawyer and C suite level executive with over 30 years experience in private practice and industry.  He spent over a decade at Freshfields and Hogan Lovells where he was a partner in the international finance group, specialising in asset and project finance.  He has subsequently held a number of senior roles in industry including as Head of Legal and Group Company Secretary at Rolls-Royce Plc and most recently as Group General Counsel at China Aircraft Leasing Group.  He is an experienced business executive and strategic leader and has been responsible for developing governance, risk, compliance and organisational change and transformation programmes.  In addition to being a co-founder of SETB, Nigel is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, an independent member of the audit & risk committee of the Welsh National Opera and a trustee of the Welsh National Opera pension fund.
